Alternative scanner designs, such as open or upright systems, are also an option. Open scanners have increased in popularity and are alternatives for severely claustaphobic and large patients.
For babies and young children chemical sedation or general anesthesia may be necessary, as typically these patients cannot be instructed to hold still during the scanning session.
At UDI, we are dedicated to keeping our clients comfortable, therefore we are happy to answer any additional questions you may have in regards to an Open MRI. For more information, or to schedule an appointment today, call 407-975-3315 or fax us at: 407-691-0316.
